    IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ!

    The deadline date for making hotel reservations is August 30th, 2010.  After this date AAST cannot guarantee the room rate.

    The award-winning Boston Marriott Copley Place hotel is centrally located in the historic Back Bay district and features 1,100 guest rooms, each with Revive bedding, high speed internet, 37" flat screen TV's, laptop safe and mini-refrigerator. Hotel services include a fitness center with indoor pool, 24 hour in-room dinning, a business center; gift shop and Dollar Rent-A-Car center.

    Guest Rooms

    Standard Room @ $260 per night plus tax

    All rooms come standard with Revive bedding, 300 thread count sheet, high-speed internet access, 37" LCD flat-screen television, in-room movies and cable television, individual climate control, telephone, deluxe bath amenities and hair dryer, iron/ironing board, laptop safe and a mini-refrigerator. 

    • The above rates are for single or double occupancy
    • An additional charge of $20 per night will apply for each additional person 18 years of age and over
    • Rates do not include state and local taxes at 14.45%

    Space is limited and reservation requests made after the deadline date of Monday, August 30, 2010 or when the room block fills, are subject to availability.

    All reservations must be accompanied by a major credit card and one night's room & tax deposit.

    All cancellations must be made 24 hours prior to arrival date to avoid a charge of one night's room and tax.

    Please plan your trip early if you are interested in extending your stay beyond the actual meeting dates. The conference rate is based on availability.

    Travel Information

    Airport Location

    General Edward Lawrence Logan International Airport (BOS) is the primary airport for the Boston area. It is located approximately 4 miles or 15 minutes from the Boston Marriott Copley Place hotel.

    Air Transportation

    Special meeting saver discounts have been arranged on United Airlines. Area/zone fares with no Saturday night stay required may also be available (some restrictions may apply). These special discounts are available by calling United directly at 800-521-4041 from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm EST, or through Norma Velazquez, ACS Travel Counselor at 800-456-4147 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm EST Monday through Friday. Ms. Velázquez can also be reached via e-mail at acstravel@facs.org. Be sure you or your travel agent mentions the meeting name (2010 AAST Annual Meeting) and the file number 501CR in order to obtain these special fares. This file number can also be used for online ticket purchases.

    Ground Transportation

    Taxi: A taxi ride from BOS airport is approximately $30 one way and will take about 15 minutes.

    • Arriving guest can find a taxi curbside outside of the baggage claim area. Follow the airport "Taxi" signs.
    • All fares leaving Logan Airport are charged a $2.25 airport fee and travel through the harbor tunnels is an additional $5.25 toll fee.

     Shared Ride Shuttle: 

    • Supper shuttle offers 24 - hour service, 7 days a week to and from BOS and the Boston Marriott Copley Place hotel.
    • Arriving guests will find a Shared Ride desk in the baggage claim area of each terminal. Look for blue vans with yellow lettering marked "Super Shuttle."
    • Reservations may be made up to 24 hours in advance of your trip by calling 617.567.8900
    • The cost is $15 per person each way

    Car Rental

    Special meeting rates and discounts are available through Avis. To receive these special rates and discounts, be sure to mention Avis Worldwide Discount (AWD) number B169699.     Car Service

    AAST has been able to arrange a discount on town car service to and from Logan International Airport for meeting attendees through Above All Transportation. Reservations must be made in advance. The roundtrip rate is $133 including all taxes fees and gratuities. Reservations can be made by phone, email or over the internet. A credit card is required.
