    2009-2010 Scholarships

    AAST is funding five scholarships for 2009-2010. The scholarship recipients received their scholarship plaque at the 68th AAST Annual Meeting in Pittsburgh, PA and will present their research findings at the 69th AAST Annual Meeting in Boston, MAScholarships and Recipients

    Dr. Tam Pham, MD, University of Washington, Seattle, WA - AAST/Research and Education Foundation Scholarship

    Matthew Rosengart, MD, University of Pittsburgh, PA - AAST/Novo Nordisk Scholarship (two-year scholarship)

    Project Title: Blood cell storage duration alters the inflammation and organ dysfunction after traumatic injury


    Jennifer Watters, MD, Oregon Health & Science University, Portland, OR - AAST/Ethicon Research Scholarship

    Project Title: Evaluate the efficacy of two hemostatic dressings compared to gauze in a severe groin injury and hemorrhage model in swine.
