    AAST/IATSIC

    The AAST and International Association for Trauma Surgery and Intensive Care (IATSIC) will be hosting a Scientific Session at the 44th World Congress of the International Society of Surgery during the International Surgical Week/ISW 2011 on Tuesday, August 30, 20100 in Pacifico Yokohama, Japan.  Six quality abstracts will be accepted for the session.  The best abstracts will receive $1,000 and a plaque.  To submit an abstract, please visit the online abstract system.  Directions for submission are included on the site. 


    Surgical Critical Care Curriculum

    The Surgical Critical Care Program Directors Society has developed an extensive curriculum based on ACGME competencies.  The curriculum is available on the Surgical Critical Care Program Directors Society website,

     AAST Grand Round will be at 5:00 pm Eastern. Future webcasts are:

    69th Annual Meeting

    IMPORTANT: The official hotel for the AAST Meeting, Boston Marriott Copley Place, is sold out of rooms.  AAST has contracted with two hotels to provide additional rooms.  Please see the housing information to find out additional information. 

    NEW PANEL JUST ADDED on WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 22 - 11:15 am- 12:15 pm:  Starting an Acute Care Surgery Program in Your Hospital.  The new panel is open to all, but registration is required.  Please see information on the registration tab in the Annual Meeting for the new one day rate also.
